Puff pastry with eggs and Jarlsberg®

Rich, buttery puff pastry topped with Jarlsberg®, poached egg, tomato salad and sliced avocado. Yum!​

  • 200 g Jarlsberg® Original
  • 4 puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 100 g tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • A dash of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 avocados
Here is how you do it

Set the oven to 200 C. Press the puff pastry into 4 small tins. Bake in the oven until golden, approx. 10-15 min. Meanwhile, grate the Jarlsberg® or cut it into generous slices. Chop the tomato into small pieces. Slice the onion. Mix the tomato and onion together with the basil, a little oil, salt and pepper. Remove the puff pastries and top with the cheese mixture. Return to the oven. Poach the eggs and cut the avocado into slices. 

Once the puff pastry is baked and the cheese has melted and has gotten some color, remove the pastries from the oven. Top with a poached egg, tomato salad and sliced avocado.
