Bruschetta with Jarlsberg® and strawberries

Put a spin on the traditional bruschetta, with strawberries instead of tomatoes. Who knew that Jarlsberg® and strawberries go so well together?

  • 4 slices of good bread
  • A little butter for frying
  • 150 g Jarlsberg® Original
  • 400 g fresh strawberries
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • A little freshly ground black pepper
  • A few drops of olive oil
Here is how you do it

Set the oven to broil. Spread butter on both sides of the bread. Toast the slices in a pan until golden on both sides. Top each piece of bread with generous slices of Jarlsberg® and broil them in the oven. Watch carefully to make sure they don’t burn!  

Roughly chop the strawberries and add the finely chopped basil, black pepper and a little olive oil. Top the cheese sandwiches with this savory mixture.  

For this recipe you can use Jarlsberg® Original, Lite or Special Reserve.
