Cheesebake with Jarlsberg® and lobster

Ingredients
  • 4 Servings
  • 500 g pasta
  • 300 g shredded Jarlsberg®
  • 3 dl heavy cream
  • 1 dl sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 lobster (whole)
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
Here is how you do it
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Grease a baking dish lightly with butter or oil.

  3. Cook the pasta in a large pot of lightly salted boiling water until al dente.

  4. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add 2/3 of the shredded Jarlsberg® and toss to combine.

  5. Transfer the pasta to the greased baking dish.

  6. Mix together the heavy cream, sour cream, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  7. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the pasta.

  8. Sprinkle the remaining Jarlsberg® on top.

  9. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

  10. Switch to broil and broil for 5 minutes, or until the top is golden and crusty.

  11. Serve hot, topped with lobster and freshly chopped chives.

Optional Add-Ons for Extra Flavor:

  • Truffle oil – drizzle a little over the top before baking.

  • Crispy pancetta or bacon – cooked, crumbled, and added on top.

  • Buttered breadcrumbs – for a crunchy topping.

  • White wine – add a splash to the cream mixture for depth.

  • Lemon zest – grate over the dish before serving for brightness.
