This low-fat variety of Jarlsberg® has the characteristic large, round holes of the classic variety, but with a lower fat content – perfect for those days when you crave the sweet, nutty delights of Jarlsberg® but also want to keep an eye on your diet!

It is a pliable cheese and can be cut with a cheese slicer, so it’s ideal for sandwiches and light lunches. Jarlsberg® Lite is only available without rind, and due to the lower fat content it is less suitable for cooking than the Jarlsberg® original, but that’s no reason not to give it a try.

Special Reserve

This exclusive variety of Jarlsberg® is ripened for a minimum of 12 months. The ageing process retains the characteristic flavours and aromas, but intensifies them to produce a stronger, more robust cheese. It is delicacy on its own and an excellent

choice for cheese platters or as a finger food for buffets. It’s also well worth experimenting with as a cooking ingredient, where a stronger flavour is required to give your dish some real zing. Jarlsberg® Special Reserve is available either cut to suit your needs or as a mighty 10 kg wheel.


If you haven’t tried Jarlsberg® Smoked then prepare yourself for a unique taste sensation. Like most traditional smoked foods it has a darker, browner surface and a piquant, smoky taste. It makes an excellent sandwich filling and is the perfect addition to many hot and cold dishes.
