Take a peek into Elizabeth's world of spices.

Elizabeth Allen is considered one of the brightest shining stars on the London culinary scene. Having gained experience at a number of top restaurants and working with some of the best chefs, she is now ready to open her own business.

Elizabeth was well into her architectural studies when she realized that this would mean many hours in front of a computer, and that was not what she desired. She missed the social companionship of cooking.

“In my childhood, everyone around me made food. I literally grew up with cooking!”

Through her Singaporean background she had come to appreciate a wide range of flavours, spices and styles from an early age. In her family, food had always brought people together. Food and cooking is her real passion, and she eventually opted to focus fully on cooking.

However, her architectural studies have also benefited her cooking. "It taught me to be extremely thorough and accurate, which is important in a hectic workplace like a kitchen."

Elizabeth’s love of spices is always evident. For Jarlsberg®, she created two innovative burgers: a juicy and spicy burger with kimchi, and a fried veggie burger containing seitan and crushed ramen noodles. Both combine superbly with aromatic and nutty Jarlsberg® cheese.
