Jarlsberg® Original

A mild, semi-soft, part skim cheese made from cow’s milk. Jarlsberg® is famous around the world for its characteristic mild, sweet and nutty taste and its large round holes. Jarlsberg® is such a wonderfully versatile cheese - whether you buy it as a regular staple for sandwiches, a complement for salads, a tasty addition to your cheese board or as an irresistible snack! It is available with or without its distinctive rind, either cut to suit your needs (wedges, slices, chunks), as a grab-and-go cheese (cheese snacks and cheese crisps) or as a mighty 10kg (22 lb) wheel.

Ingredients

Jarlsberg® Original block: Pasteurized cow's milk, microbial enzyme (rennet), salt, bacterial culture. 27 % fat (fat in dry matter 45 %).

Storage

Store at 0 °C - 4 °C. Best sliced when cool.

Jarlsberg® Lite

Jarlsberg® Lite has the same mild, nutty flavor as regular Jarlsberg® with 50% less fat and 30% fewer calories, than regular Swiss cheese. This low-fat variety of Jarlsberg® original has the characteristic large round holes, with a lower fat content – perfect for those days when you crave the sweet, nuttydelights of Jarlsberg® but need to watch your diet! You can add flair to your sandwiches, wraps and recipes without the calories. Jarlsberg® Lite is available in slices, chunks and as a grab–and-go cheese (lite minis). Jarlsberg® Lite is a great alternative for a lighter recipe as it has very good meltability.
