You will need

  • 800 g minced beef
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp. salt and black pepper
  • 4 slices Jarlsberg cheese
  • 4 large hamburger buns
  • 1 red onion
  • 0.5 Iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 large dill pickle
  • mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard (to taste)

Perfection between burger buns

Whether you cook yours over the coals, under a grill or in a frying pan, here are the tips that really matter when making that ideal. What makes a difference is choosing the best meat and the best cheese. Jarlsberg comes out tops when it comes to that classic cheeseburger taste.

It’s also important how you make the actual hamburger. We add egg whites for more succulence and we make our patties really BIG. After that just make sure the classic fillings are super fresh. And of course, don’t forget to melt the cheese all the way through!

To make the burgers

Mix the minced beef and egg whites together to form four large patties. Season with salt and pepper. Fry or grill the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side. During the final minutes of cooking, place a slice of Jarlsberg on each burger.

Heat the buns using a toaster, frying pan or grill. Spread mayonnaise, a little mustard and ketchup on the bottom half of the buns. Layer lettuce leaves, sliced pickle, tomato and red onion, and then top with the burger and melted Jarlsberg cheese. Finish with the other half of the bun, and serve.
