Makes 4 hamburgers

Perfection between burger buns

Whether you cook it over the coals, under a broiler or in a frying pan, here are the tips that really matter when making the ideal burger. Choose ground beef with 80/20% lean to fat ratio, and use the best cheese. Jarlsberg® cheese is tops when it comes to superior cheeseburger taste. Make sure the toppings are super fresh, too. We add egg whites to the meat for more juiciness. And no burger is finished until that cheese melts down completely!

To make the burgers

Mix gently beef and egg whites, season with salt and pepper to taste; form 4 patties. Fry, broil or grill the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side. During the final minutes of cooking, place a slice of Jarlsberg® cheese on each burger and continue cooking until cheese is melted. Heat the buns in a toaster, oven or on a grill. Spread mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup on the bottom half of the buns. Layer lettuce leaves, tomato, red onion and pickle. Top with the burger and finish with the other half of the bun.
