  • 2 cups Jerusalem artichokes
  • 4 shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1.3 cups crème fraîche
  • Salt and pepper
  • Lemon
  • 1.3 cups grated Jarlsberg® cheese
  • Fresh herbs and freshly ground black pepper

A very savory dinner

Jerusalem artichokes, also known as sunchokes taste much like a regular artichoke, but are sweeter and a little starchier. Gratinated with Jarlsberg®, shallots, garlic, crème fraiche and lemon you here get a very savory dinner and a great alternative to your regular lasagna or moussaka

To make the Jerusalem Artichokes Au Gratin

Pre-heat the oven to 200 °C. Peel the artichokes and cut into approx. 0.5 cm slices. Cut the shallots into wedges and finely chop the garlic. Mix everything together with the crème fraîche, and add salt, pepper and lemon juice to taste. Spoon the mixture into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle the grated Jarlsberg® cheese on top. Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30-40 minutes Serve with fresh herbs and freshly ground black pepper.
