• Jarlsberg® and Pumpkin Scones •

• Ingredients •

You will need

  • 125 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp. baking powder
  • 250 g spelt flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 100 g Jarlsberg®
  • 50 g pumpkin seeds
  • 1 egg (for brushing)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 50 g pumpkin seed oil (or butter)

Makes 4 scones

A flavoursome alternative to bread rolls

These savoury ‘breads’ are perfect for the party table, dotted with crunchy pumpkin seeds and oozing, delectable Jarlsberg®.

To make the scones

Preheat your oven to 175˚C. Mix all the ingredients together until roughly blended, shape the scones as desired and bake until golden.
