This deliciously complex snack is absolutely delicious with crusty bread or crackers. Crunchy walnuts perfectly play up the nutty character of the Jarlsberg – this along with the fresh citrusy taste, will have any foodie coming back for more.
Make sure the glass jar is clean and has a tight lid. Cube the Jarlsberg and chop the walnuts into four. Thinly slice the garlic and fry gently in oil until lightly browned. Finely mince the thyme and mix the marinade ingredients together. Layer the Jarlsberg, walnuts, garlic and orange zest inside the jar and pour the marinade over. Seal tightly. Allow to marinate in the fridge for at least one day and no longer than three. Serve at room temperature.
