Classic Chef Salad
Makes 4 portions
Salad
200 g/ 7 oz Jarlsberg®
200 g / 7 oz boiled ham
4 tomatoes
4 boiled eggs
4 slices toast
for croutons
Assorted lettuce
Cut Jarlsberg® and ham into thin sticks, slice tomatoes into 8 boats, and slice the boiled eggs into boats. Toast the bread and cut into small cubes. Tear the assorted lettuce into medium sized leaves. Carefully mix all the ingredients and serve in a bowl or on plates. Drizzle the salad with dressing to taste.
Vinaigrette
1/2 dl / 1,5 fl oz extra virgin oil
1/2 dl / 1,5 fl oz neutral oil (corn, sunflower etc.)
1 tsp mustard
1 finely chopped shallot onion
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients.
